This piece was inspired by the first time I saw a bat flower at the Roma Street Parklands, Brisbane. I was immediately drawn to it, it reminded me of an orchid, which I’ve always loved and feel really connected to.
It reflects those quiet moments in nature where inspiration just finds you. I wanted this piece to bring a sense of peace, the same feeling I get when I’m connecting with nature. A reminder to slow down, appreciate Mother Nature’s creations, and our connection to Country and the beauty it holds.
