Native companion is a three part collection based on a birds eye view of native companion creek connecting with another creek during different seasons (wet/dry). All paintings in this collection come with a wooden frame.
Native Companion Creek is located in Alpha, where my mother grew up. The creek is named after the brolga, also known as the Native Companion, which is a bird that holds special significance for both my mother and I. When she was a child, there were many brolgas near her property. She and her family would whistle to them, encouraging the birds to dance.
