H 36 inches x W 24 inches

Acrylic on canvas

Gidgee trees are well known for their exceptional qualities as firewood. Known for their dense, heavy timber, Gidgee wood burns with a long-lasting, steady heat and produces minimal smoke. This makes it an efficient and reliable choice for heating.

My father would use Gidgee wood to ignite the fire, and to maintain it, he’d add a green Gidgee stick. By morning, this would turn into excellent coals, perfect for cooking in the camp oven.
