This collection is inspired by my love for Brolgas. I’ve always found them fascinating—the way they move, how they follow the seasons to find food and water, and how they dance when they hear loud noises. One of my favourite things about them is that once Brolgas find a partner, they stay together for life. That kind of loyalty feels rare these days, and it’s something really special.
Each painting captures a different moment in their world—tall grass, the outback, or wetlands—using colour and linework to reflect the quiet beauty they carry. It’s my way of honouring them and the spaces they move through.
